Katabazi returned home Thursday where people welcomed her with gifts and cheers at different markets around the district. She promised to use her monthly parliament money to buy two ambulances instead of a new car. One ambulance would serve eastern areas and another would help western parts of the district. Uganda evacuates citizens from Iran amid Israel conflict
Uganda helped 44 people escape from Iran after fighting broke out between Iran and Israel on June 13. The group had 42 regular citizens and two embassy workers who made it safely to Turkey.
