chitubu

means a water spring or a natural site where water emerges to the earth's surface due to pressure that occurs in an aquifer i.e., a body of porous rock saturated with groundwater.

Note: Another Shona synonym for chitubu is "chisipiti."

Popularization

The most notable use of the word "chitubu" is by Jah Prayzah (Mukudzeyi Mukombe) who released a Zim Afropop studio album with a corresponding title. Honorable mention goes to DJ Tamuka Makuluni and Rodney Beatz (Rodney Tendai Sibanda) who produced most of the material on the album.

Below is the aforementioned music project just in case y'all are interested.
