koperai moyo

is a pejorative phrase that means a clout chaser, charlatan, plagiarist, or copycat.

Note: Copying or plagiarizing someone else's work is wrong. However, since some people's entire livelihood is driven by psychopathic greed and a lack of empathy thereof, they can't help but imitate or replicate anything that's in style, so long as they can make a few coins out of it.

Alternatively, the written and pronounced form of the phrase koperai moyo varies due to different Shona dialects. Some Zimbos will either say koperai mwoyo, koperayi moyo, or koperayi mwoyo; notwithstanding, the meaning remains the same.
