kudhomoka

(or kuzeyeretsa in formal chiShona) means to act kinda weird or go extremely out of control often as a result of taking highly addictive drugs such as methamphetamine, cocaine, valium, marijuana, etc.

There are of course other numerous Zim slang synonyms but some of them depend on the context, for example, kuvhurika means someone is not acting normal like they usually do because they have consumed a hallucinogenic substance e.g., LSD, DMT, PCP, etc. Hence, kuvhurika is only used if drugs are involved.

Furthermore, kudhunya, kumhanya bani, or kumhanya mesheni, kumhanya brain although these slang terms are often used in the context of mental illness can also be used interchangeably with kuvhurika and kudhomoka regardless of whether drugs are involved, or not.

Conclusion

An individual can quickly develop a tolerance to prescribed substances. And when tolerance to a drug develops, it means that the substance no longer has the effect it once did. Conversely, it can have little or no effect. Therefore, when a person develops a tolerance to a drug, he or she must take higher and higher doses to achieve the same effects.
