The victims came from many different towns across Uganda. Rescue workers took all the injured people to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Officers came to look at the crash scene and take pictures. They moved the damaged bus to the police station for inspection. Investigators think the driver was going too fast when his brakes failed. Another Gateway Bus had crashed just three days earlier with 62 passengers. All those people survived, but also got injured in that accident.
