Ghana Journalists Association approved 62 people to run for office during June 30 elections. Election Committee leader Peter Martey Agbeko said 13 candidates will compete for national jobs and 49 others want regional spots. Northern areas see good participation from potential leaders. Upper East and Upper West regions each have two chairman candidates ready to serve members. Western Region completes the list with four people seeking various officer positions. The elections will choose new leaders to guide journalist affairs nationwide.
