6TH, the Malawian Afro-dancehall artist formerly known as Dicto B, is feeling pretty bummed out. He was supposed to perform at the University of Livingstonia (UNILIA) this Saturday alongside Crispy MW, Toast, and Afana Ceez. But some of the event organizers gave him the boot, even though he was already on the list. One of them straight up told 6TH, whose real name is Benedicto Kazembe, "Sorry, dude, the other guys are still going, but you're out." Here's the deal: Three days ago, a show organizer from Mzuzu approached 6TH about performing at Livingstonia University on Saturday. They agreed to pay him 300,000 Kwacha for his gig and another 500,000 Kwacha for transportation. Usually, 6TH wants a deposit before he's featured on any promo material, but he decided to trust the organizer. They promised to pay part of the money on Friday and the rest when he left. It wasn't their first time working together, so 6TH felt good about it. After the promo poster went up on his Facebook page, a bunch of girls started commenting. They were confused and said they had no idea about the event. That's when things started to unravel. The organizer told 6TH that the Entertainment Director, who apparently isn't a fan of his, wanted him off the poster. They were worried about drama at the event. The organizer tried to smooth things over by telling 6TH to keep quiet. They even offered him 100,000 Kwacha to make up for it. But since then, the organizer has gone radio silent, leaving 6TH feeling like he's been hung out to dry. Malawi24 tried to get the scoop from a student at the university who wanted to stay anonymous. Turns out, 6TH had performed there before, but he didn't really wow the crowd. They thought he lacked energy and seemed shy on stage, which played a part in not inviting him back. 6TH decided to address all the negativity he's been facing head-on. He said, "I know a lot of people hate me for being the way I am. It's fine to dislike someone, but consider the harm you're causing others. How would you feel if you were in their position? Let's love each other as you love yourself. As the saying goes, 'What goes around comes around.' It's no wonder some of you experience negativity because you don't love your friends."
