AAEON just released a new AI kit called the NV8600-Nano. You can buy it only from their UP Shop website. The kit includes an NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano module that works in Super Mode, plus a special carrier board made by AAEON. It already has Jetson Platform Services software loaded on it. This marks a big step for the UP brand, which started out making Intel-based boards for industrial uses but has expanded into new areas. The company has previously made developer kits with software included, but this stands out as their first one using NVIDIA tech. What makes this different from other AAEON products is that it comes ready to help people optimize AI models. Most of their NVIDIA stuff focuses on ready-to-deploy industrial systems, but this targets developers who want to build and test ideas. This kit packs serious power with its 8 GB NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano module that delivers up to 67 TOPS of AI performance. It beats regular NVIDIA Jetson Nano kits because it includes 256 GB of NVMe storage through an M.2 slot and throws in a Raspberry Pi camera. For connections, you'll find six USB ports, two DB-9 ports for various signals, HDMI, four ethernet ports with optional PoE, plus many connectors and pins for expansion needs. AAEON built this kit with professional standards, making it ready for real-world use from the start. It handles power input from 12 to 24 volts and works in temperatures between -25°C and 70°C. Victor Lai from UP explained that they want to help developers move quickly from ideas to finished products. The kit ships with all software installed plus one camera module, a power adapter, and a cooling fan, all available exclusively through the UP Shop.
