Alright, check it out! Acer just registered a bunch of new graphics card SKUs last week. They filed this massive EEC thing that showed off a ton of their unannounced Nitro and Predator BiFrost Radeon RX 9060 XT models. It looks like AMD's board partner is gearing up to drop two different memory configs for their lower-end RDNA 4 custom cards. We're talking 16 GB and 8 GB of GDDR6, baby! VideoCardz wanted to know if these specs were legit, so they hit up some AIB industry insiders. They got back to them over the weekend and "reconfirmed" that the 16 GB and 8 GB versions are definitely coming. If you think back to RDNA 3, Team Red released their Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU with 16 GB, but the cheaper Radeon RX 7600 only had 8 GB of VRAM. One of the board partners even leaked a list of their launch day offerings with some basic tech specs. The leaked details for the Radeon RX 9060 XT show that there will be 16 GB GDDR6 and 8 GB GDDR6 options, both with 128-bit memory interfaces. VideoCardz thinks they'll probably use the same 20 Gbps memory chips as the recently launched Radeon RX 9070 series cards. The leaked product list also says that these bad boys will only need a single 8-pin power connector. They recommend a minimum 500 W PSU, but that could bump up to 550 W for the factory overclocked versions. TechPowerUp's GPU database has a speculative "Navi 48 LE" GPU variant listed for the Radeon RX 9060 XT. But VideoCardz thinks a "Navi 44" GPU would make more sense for this class, maybe even based on a mobile part. The leak also suggests there will be one HDMI 2.1 port and two DP 2.1 ports. A smaller GPU would probably struggle to handle more than that. During an official RDNA 4 launch event in Beijing last month, a Team Red rep said that Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics cards should be hitting shelves some time in Q2 2025.
