Environmental worker Christopher Oruka says cattle destroy crops and herders cut down trees across the region. Kenneth Omona works as minister for northern Uganda and told cattle herders they had two weeks to leave on May 23rd. He promised to remove them by force if they stayed past the deadline. The government has not explained why they failed to follow through on this threat to remove the herders.
