ADAM Audio has announced the H715 Reference, its second headphone model and first flagship open-back design. The brand is aiming for the kind of sound users get from a high-end speaker setup, with a focus on clear, balanced audio for studio work. The headphones made their debut at Amsterdam Dance Event. Inside each earcup sits a custom PEN driver with a titanium coating, backed by neodymium magnets and a tuned suspension. A steel mesh housing and a new vent system are also part of the build. According to ADAM Audio, this setup helps the H715 reach deep bass notes without making the top end harsh. Fast sound changes should also come through with clarity, which matters when checking small details in a mix or master. Build quality gets plenty of care here. Metal parts make up much of the frame, while soft memory foam pads can be taken off and replaced. A headband made from spring steel helps keep the fit firm without giving up comfort. Connection options are a bit more flexible than usual. Along with a regular headphone hookup, buyers get a three-meter cable fitted with a 4.4 mm Pentaconn plug for use with balanced headphone amps. There is also a Hi-Fi Mode switch. This lets users split the shared ground path between the drivers when using a four-wire setup, rather than keeping both sides tied to the same ground. Software support is part of the deal as well. ADAM Audio has updated its Headphone Utility Plug-In, first made for the closed-back H200, with H715 tuning profiles and crossfeed controls that users can adjust. Another addition is ListenHub, a desktop app for Windows and macOS. It brings tools for checking audio, comparing sounds, and testing virtual monitor setups without needing a full speaker system. The H715 Reference carries a UK price of £569.99 with VAT already part of the cost. Sales are set to begin in December 2026, putting it in the premium end of the studio headphone market.
