Solomon Owusu from Movement for Change wants Ghanaians to pick Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen as their next president. The political leader believes Ghana does better when presidents have John as part of their name. He pointed to Jerry John Rawlings, John Agyekum Kuffuor, John Evans Atta Mills, and John Mahama as proof of his theory. Owusu thinks Nana Akufo-Addo was a bad choice who made the country worse. He says John Mahama has started fixing things since winning the 2024 election. Owusu made these statements on TV3's New Day program last Wednesday during a discussion about politics. He believes Kyerematen will be the final John to lead Ghana when 2028 elections happen. The Movement for Change member thinks none of the New Patriotic Party candidates can run the country properly. He dismissed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, and Bryan Acheampong as unfit leaders. The NPP will choose their flagbearer on January 31, 2026. The political figure also attacked Bawumia supporters over corruption charges. Owusu claims nine out of ten former NPP officials accused of stealing money backed the former Vice President. He mentioned the national service scandal where officials took GH₵250 million during 2023. These people spent the stolen cash during NPP leadership contests to help Bawumia win. Owusu said they acted like they could print money at home.
