[QUOTE="Nehanda, post: 30935, member: 2262"] AMD released their Radeon RX 9070 Series cards back in March, finishing what they called "phase one" of RDNA 4. After these launch events, both American and Asian AMD staff hinted at cheaper RX 9060 Series models coming next quarter. Many board partners have already registered different versions of the Radeon RX 9060 XT cards with both 16GB and 8GB memory, making people think these cards will arrive very soon. A new leak suggests that AMD might release something else using the Navi 48 GPU before those RX 9060 XT cards show up. IT Home reported talk about a mystery Radeon RX 9070 GRE model. Zhongzheng Computer posted on WeChat, saying buyers who can't afford the RX 9070 XT should wait for the RX 9070 GRE because it offers better value. They added that the RX 9060 XT would take longer to arrive. VideoCardz thinks AMD didn't send more custom Radeon RX 9070 16GB (non-XT) cards to China last week. Local buyers found almost none available. Some believe AMD's China office cleared the way for these new RX 9070 GRE 12GB cards to fill the gap. The "GRE" name first appeared with the Radeon 7900 GRE 16GB in 2023, during the Year of the Rabbit. AMD changed what GRE means earlier this year to "Great Radeon Edition." Benchlife.info shared details about this rumored card: it uses the same Navi 48 chip as current RX 9070 models but comes with 12GB memory and a 192-bit memory interface. Their sources say board partners plan to mass-produce these cards soon. Based on specs that VideoCardz collected, this GRE model would sit between the already released RX 9070 16GB cards and the upcoming RX 9060 XT models in terms of performance and likely price.
