Anambra State leaders approved major building projects during their meeting at the Light House in Awka on June 16, 2025. Road safety equipment like signs and speed bumps will cost 55.1 million naira across the state.

Leaders also backed the Anambra Rebirth Programme to restore traditional values of hard work. The cultural program follows an Igbo saying that means working hard brings success and joy. Drivers who break serious traffic rules will face blacklisting as part of safety improvements.
