Anthony Joshua crash driver's trial pushed to February

The court case tied to that fatal crash involving Anthony Joshua's crew hit another delay. Proceedings against driver Adeniyi Kayode were postponed to a future court date. The Sagamu Magistrate Court, with Magistrate Olufunilayo Somefun presiding, heard the case. Kayode faces four major charges related to the incident that killed two people close to the boxer.

Prosecutor Richard Nigiwe requested the adjournment. He stated his team needed to send the case file to the state attorney general's office for review. The prosecution also cited a missing witness as a reason for the delay. Defense counsel Abiodun Olalekan opposed pushing the hearing back, stating readiness to proceed immediately.

The magistrate ultimately granted the prosecution's application. Kayode's charges include dangerous driving causing death, reckless operation of a vehicle, and driving without a valid license. He entered a not guilty plea during his initial court appearance. The legal process will continue with the next hearing.
