Dr. Frank Amoakohene promised local journalists he would build them a modern press center in the Ashanti Region. He made this pledge at a recent Ghana Journalists Association party held in Kumasi. News workers throughout the area have waited forever for a good place to do their work. The new building would finally give them better equipment and proper space.
The Regional Minister stressed that he really cares about finishing this project completely. He plans to head to Accra just ahead of the upcoming budget talk and meet with Hon. Eric Opoku during his trip there. Dr. Amoakohene hopes to learn exactly how Opoku handled similar projects and apply those lessons to create the new media hub.
