ASUS GPU Tweak Adds Power Detector to Prevent Burns

ASUS just added a smart safety feature to their graphics card software. Power Detector+ warns gamers when the power connector might overheat. The system works through special sensors that track how much electricity passes through each pin. Users receive alerts if something looks wrong, giving them time to fix the issue before damage happens. This helps stop pesky melting problems reported with 12V 2x6 connectors.

The new feature appears in GPU Tweak III software for ROG Astral cards. It supports the RTX 5080, 5090, plus the fancy Matrix RTX 4090 models. These high-power cards can pull up to 600 watts through a single pin instead of sharing the load properly. When the system spots trouble, it tells the user to check their connections right away. Fast action can prevent expensive damage to these premium graphics cards.
