ASUS has released its new S5 SFF (S501SER) line of slim desktop PCs. These machines pack the latest 14th-gen Intel Core CPUs under the hood. ASUS made sure these machines could handle the heat and keep on ticking. They used top-notch capacitors that won't flinch when the temperature changes. They also threw in an 80PLUS PLATINUM certified power supply, which means less heat to worry about. The whole system is built to give you stable performance for the long haul. ASUS was clever with the airflow design, keeping the hot parts separate. Each piece inside has its own little airflow highway. You can choose between two flavors of the S5 SFF. The S501SER-714700016W comes with a beefy Intel Core i7-14700, a whopping 32GB of DDR5-4400 RAM, and a 512GB SSD. If you want to save a few bucks, you can opt for the S501SER-514500045W instead. It uses an Intel Core i5-14500 CPU, 16GB of DDR5-4400 memory, and the same 512GB SSD. Both versions use Intel UHD Graphics 770, which is more than enough for your day-to-day stuff and watching videos. You'll find all the usual suspects for connecting things, like Gigabit LAN, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. The S5 SFF is a space-saving champ. It's only 93mm wide, 296mm deep, and 309mm tall. Perfect for tucking away in a cozy corner. You can hook up two displays using HDMI and D-Sub. And it even comes with a DVD Super Multi Drive, which is pretty nifty. These desktops come with Windows 11 Home 64-bit already installed, so you can start using them right out of the box. The 330W power supply keeps everything humming along, even if you're using it for hours on end.
