Vengeance Sound just updated its Avenger 2 music production software to version 2.4.0. The update brings several cool additions, starting with a brand new "Custom" ARP mode that lets you freely create patterns beyond the usual up/down options - it even handles multiple notes at once!

They added three fresh effects: Ruta Chorus creates customizable reverbs and special sounds despite its name. Ruta Distortion offers a warm mid-range drive perfect for basslines with four different algorithms. The update includes a new "Math/Increment N vc" mod source that increases values with each new voice played. You can also customize preset previews by changing octaves, duration, and choosing between chords or single notes. Manuel Schleis contributed 50 new Q4ntum presets, plus there are many FX presets and 70 new Arp presets for the Custom mode.

They fixed many bugs, including unstable attack timing in the AMP envelope, which helps create accurate percussive sounds. Other fixes address hanging notes when bouncing projects, jumping notes in the ARP interface, crashes when changing sample rates, noise bursts with certain generators, invisible AKWF shapes, envelope looping issues, display errors with OSC modulation, slow volume changes, and various ARP-related problems.
