The Speaker of Parliament said Kenya Kwanza leads with more members than Azimio. He counted and found Kenya Kwanza has 165 members, but Azimio has 154. He told everyone the leaders would stay the same.

Millie Odhiambo from Azimio thinks this count isn't right. She said her team believes in following the law. She promised they would do something about this decision. Many Azimio members walked out of Parliament after hearing what the Speaker said.

The Speaker, Mr Wetang'ula, explained the court didn't pick which team should lead. Edwin Sifuna from ODM said people chose their leaders when they voted in 2022. He thinks someone changed what the people wanted.

A court had earlier said Mr Wetang'ula made a mistake when he first picked Kenya Kwanza as the bigger team. Mr Wetang'ula talked about how both teams formed. He said Azimio started in April 2022 with twenty-one different groups joining together. Kenya Kwanza came later, in June 2022, with eleven groups. Back in October 2022, Mr Wetang'ula had picked Kenya Kwanza as the bigger team.
