[QUOTE="Munyaradzi Mafaro, post: 45348, member: 636"] Bank of Ghana bosses fired more than 100 workers recently. The central bank sent letters telling these people their jobs would end on Monday June 23. Workers must give back all bank property and equipment before leaving. The fired employees will receive one month's pay as their final payment. Thelma Randolph-Akushie signed the termination letters that went out to affected staff. Bank leaders said they had good reasons for letting these workers go. Human Resource staff checked how well new employees performed during their trial period. About 97 people failed to meet the bank's standards and expectations. The review looked at work performance and whether workers fit the bank's values. Most of these fired workers started their jobs after December 7 last year. The National Identification Authority also made cuts to their workforce. NIA officials decided not to renew contracts for temporary workers. All short-term employees will lose their jobs on June 30 unless they receive new offers. Department heads must recommend workers who deserve to keep working. The authority wants to reduce staff numbers as part of a reorganization plan. NADMO ordered district managers to hand over their duties to replacement officers. The disaster management group sent instructions telling current managers to prepare detailed reports. These managers must list all important activities, property, and unfinished business matters. The handover notes will help new managers understand their responsibilities when they start work.
