Barrow calls out civil servants and some imams

President Barrow called out civil servants who hurt his government plans. He talked with Muslim elders at State House during Eid-ul-fitr celebrations. The president claimed many employees back opposition parties behind closed doors. These workers act neutral but secretly want different leadership.

He explained how staff members cause problems by making simple tasks difficult. A document that needs just one day might take four months because someone wants citizens angry at their government. Police officers stretch cases longer than needed, making people blame Barrow instead of those causing delays. The president sees these actions as direct attacks on his administration.

Barrow made clear these civil servants serve the nation, not him personally. He warned anyone shirking duties would pay later. The president pointed out former officials who left big positions only to struggle financially within years. Their problems came from putting politics above proper work performance during their time in office.

The president also blasted certain news groups for always focusing on bad news. He believes these media houses want The Gambia to fall into chaos. Barrow stated that his leadership will finish someday, but he hopes his positive changes last longer. He asked all citizens to stand together to keep peace around the country.

Barrow stressed that peace makes progress possible. Every developed country stays peaceful first, then builds everything else. The president criticized religious leaders who preached against his policies without full information. He asked imams to check facts before speaking at mosques about government matters.

Barrow offered religious leaders a chance to discuss concerns directly instead of using sermons for complaints. The president praised recent improvements in collecting taxes within The Gambia. His team focuses more on raising money locally since international help keeps shrinking year after year.
