President Barrow said his team plans to build 500 kilometers of fresh roads across The Gambia once they finish their research. "We have made great progress with the 50km roads and what NRA handles," Barrow explained. "We run different road projects at the same time. Some belong to NRA, others to the government, and then we have OIC roads." He pointed out that countries need good roads to grow, mentioning places like Dubai and America as examples of this idea.

The Gambian leader described his country as "very aggressive" about building better roads. "We try everything possible to create good roads," he said. Barrow felt happy seeing how excited people became during his visits. He noticed locals appreciated how these new roads helped their daily lives. He liked what he saw in terms of construction progress and asked all contractors and consultants to work harder to finish these projects when promised.
