Bawku youth torch police car and home

Angry youth burned the Bawku Police Commander's home after officers killed a civilian. The trouble started when Kusasi youth tried blocking Mamprusi people from reaching their market. Police stepped in during the conflict but ended up shooting three people - one died, and two suffered injuries.

This killing made the youth furious. They attacked Police Commander Adamu Seidu's private house at Manga, setting it completely ablaze. They also torched a police vehicle somewhere else in town. The violence scared many locals, who ran, looking for safe places to hide.

The situation remains extremely tense throughout Bawku. These attacks show how quickly peace can break down between the different groups living there. Police actions meant to keep order instead triggered greater violence. The burned buildings stand as stark evidence of community anger toward law enforcement. Everyone wonders what might happen next as tensions remain high.
