A very sad thing happened on a road near Kisoro. A truck carrying lots of beans tried to drive up a steep hill, but something went wrong. The truck rolled backward down the hill and flipped over, and many children who were sitting on top of the bean bags fell off.

A young boy named Bright Irakoze did not survive the crash. He was only twelve years old and lived in a place called Mupaka village. The crash hurt twelve other children who needed help from doctors right away.

Police officer Elly Maate told everyone the hurt children went to Chahafi Health Center. The doctors are taking care of them there. Some of the children who were hurt are very young, like eight and nine years old. They all live near where the accident happened.

The big truck was carrying sixty bags of beans when it crashed. The beans came from two villages named Gahenerezo and Mupaka. The truck driver could not make it up the hill, which caused everything to go wrong. The police want people to know they should be very careful when riding in trucks and that children should never sit on top of bags.
