The law officer, Mr. Tawanda Chigavazira, shared what happened. He said the pair started these acts in August 2023. They first took $600 and Z$17.5 million from Tendai Tshuma of Harare. The money was meant to pay tax on a Ford Ranger truck. They left after taking the cash.

The same thing happened to Tendai Tobias Bonga. He gave them $4,100 to pay tax on his Mercedes-Benz C180 car, and they left with his money.

In January 2024, they asked Tinashe Kutsukutsa for $7,000. This money was to buy a car and pay its tax. Like the others, he lost his money when they ran away.
