Risdel Kasasira, a top journalist in Uganda, died in a car crash on Friday in Lyantonde District. He was buried at his family's home in Rubaya, Kashari district on Sunday.
Col. Chris Magezi spoke for Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba at the burial. He said Kasasira was a happy, honest, and dependable person. Magezi also said Muhoozi gave 4 million shillings to help pay for the funeral.
Kasasira's wife, Sharot Nshimire, promised to keep working hard. She wants to take good care of their children. "Losing him is awful, but God will help us," she said sadly.

Kasasira and his family were in a Toyota Corolla Fielder, driving from Kashagama to Lyantonde. The crash took place in Kalagala village on the Kashagama-Lyantonde Road.
Mrs. Kasasira was driving. She lost control of the car. It flipped over and landed in a swamp nearby. Sadly, Mr. Kasasira drowned and died. The other people in the car were hurt.
