Police think the gunmen are part of a vigilante group with ties to a local chief. They had powerful rifles and a pistol.

After the shooting, police and soldiers secured the market. They found bullet casings and unfired rounds, but the four missing suspects had already fled.

Authorities are working to find the wanted men. Tahiru Sulemana is under arrest and helping police with the case.
