The Fallout TV show brought millions of new fans to the franchise. These fans started demanding fresh games from Bethesda Game Studios right away. The studio had already begun working on The Elder Scrolls VI at that time. Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer dropped hints about speeding up new Fallout releases. Todd Howard from Bethesda quickly shot down any rush plans for the games. Jordan Middler from VideoGamesChronicles spilled some major news on a recent podcast. He revealed that Bethesda has several Fallout projects cooking behind the scenes. One of these projects is apparently the main game that all fans desperately want. Middler thinks Todd Howard might step away from game development after finishing The Elder Scrolls VI. He believes Howard will feel ready to retire once that massive project wraps up. The gaming journalist seems wrong about Howard calling it quits though. Howard turns 55 this year and has plenty of productive years ahead. The Elder Scrolls VI should hit stores around 2028 according to most estimates. That timeline gives Howard enough time to tackle Fallout 5 afterward. Bethesda already confirmed that Fallout 5 will come after The Elder Scrolls VI launches. The other mysterious Fallout projects likely involve remasters of older games. Court documents revealed plans for a Fallout 3 remaster during legal proceedings. A New Vegas remaster makes sense since the show's second season heads to Vegas.
