Standing before Justice Ebrima Jaiteh at Banjul High Court, Bojang answered questions from Director of Public Prosecutions AM Yusuf about his trip to Senegal. When asked about his smartphone, Bojang first thought he had brought it along. After checking through his stuff, he later remembered leaving it plugged into an electrical outlet in his sitting room.

The questioning revealed that Bojang gave his sister Amie Bojang a bag containing his passport, Gambian residence permit, and some cash before departing for Senegal. Amie serves as the second accused person in this case. Bojang explained he lost one Gambia Revenue Tin Certificate but obtained another using his Senegalese passport when questioned about these documents.

DPP Yusuf requested a break after this testimony, which the court granted without objection. The court accepted several items as evidence, including a receipt showing D20,000 from Guaranteed Trust Bank Gambia Limited, a black wool jacket, and white shoes belonging to Bojang. Court records show Amie Bojang faces one count of accessory to murder under Section 202 of the Criminal Code, Cap 10:01, Volume 3, Laws of The Gambia 200.
