An activist named Bon Kalindo is really upset. He's mad that a police officer got killed in Mangochi-Chiponde. Kalindo says that kind of thing shouldn't happen these days. He thinks the government needs to figure out why people are so angry all the time. Kalindo says it's wrong for people to take the law into their own hands. But he also says the police should treat people better. He claims some officers beat up citizens or even shoot them. Kalindo believes discipline has to start at the top. He wants the country's leaders to always tell the truth and be fair. Then maybe the people would behave better, too. But he says the leaders are liars, and that makes citizens mad. Kalindo gave his opinion in an audio clip. He's also against something else that happened. Some women wearing clothes from the MCP party were stripped at Pengapenga in Ntcheu while President Chakwera was on his way to Mangochi for the holidays. Kalindo says all Malawians should get to wear whatever political party clothes they want. He thinks the MCP needs to get itself together and find out why these bad things keep happening. People have been booing the president when he travels, saying mean things about him, and tearing down signs with his picture. Kalindo says it's because God is unhappy with how the MCP is running things. He gave a warning to the government. He says it would be a disaster if they rig the voter numbers. And that people won't accept it if Chakwera wins the election in 2025 because of fake votes. "The signs are clear that Malawians don't want you in charge anymore," said Kalindo. "Cooking the books with the election commission would be a recipe for trouble. The people won't stand for it." Kalindo has another complaint, too. He says the MCP government isn't giving pensioners the money they've earned. Some are even dying or can't afford food or school because they can't access their funds.
