Brigadier General Oscar Tshuma has become the new leader of the 4 Infantry Brigade in Masvingo Province. The handover took place today during a ceremony at Vitalis Musungwa Gava Barracks headquarters.
Army leader Lt General Anslem Sanyatwe watched over the colorful event where Brig General Tshuma received command from Brig General Cephas Gurira. The outgoing commander passed the brigade flag to Tshuma as part of the official transfer.
Gurira will leave this post to take charge of Headquarters 1 Infantry Brigade, which looks after Bulawayo Metropolitan plus both Matabeleland North and South Provinces. Various important officials came to see the leadership change.
The guests included Provincial Affairs Permanent Secretary Dr Addmore Pazvakavambwa, the head of the provincial chiefs assembly, Chief Chitanga, and many high-ranking military officers who attended the ceremony at the barracks.
