The leader of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, asked the Uganda government to give more money for HIV/AIDS medicine. He spoke at an event for the Kabaka's Birthday Run at Bulange, Mengo. This run happens before the Kabaka turns 70 years old.

A person from UNAIDS named Sarah Nakku agreed with Mr. Mayiga. She said America not giving money makes things hard for Uganda's HIV/AIDS work. She asked people in Uganda to help make sure everyone can still go to the doctor and get medicine.

The Buganda leaders for youth and sports asked everyone to buy special birthday kits and join the run. The Kabaka's Birthday Run happens every year before Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II celebrates his birthday on April 13.

Many thousands of people from all parts of Uganda will join the run, which shows that Buganda cares about keeping people healthy.
