Duduzile Nkomazana, who lives in Nkulumane, Bulawayo, recently spoke out. She says she was robbed of a large sum of money, totaling US$49,475. The money was for a club that she was part of. The members were going to share the money. The robbery took place on December 9th of last year. It happened near Mbokodo Abattoirs. Nkomazana reported it to the police right away. She went to the Nkulumane Police Station. The case number is CR57/12/24. Many people heard about the robbery and talked about it extensively on social media. They were shocked and worried. At first, Nkomazana didn't want to talk about what happened. A news publication tried to reach her, wanting more details. Last Thursday, she told them she was at a wedding in Nkayi. She said she would call them on Sunday when she was back in Bulawayo. Sunday came and went. Nkomazana didn't call like she said she would. The news publication tried to contact her again on Thursday. At first, she said she didn't understand their question and couldn't answer right then. Later that night, around 9 p.m., Nkomazana gave them more information. She confirmed that she was robbed. The Nkulumane Police Station told her they moved the case, which is now with the Figtree Police Station. The news publication wanted to know more. They called the Bulawayo police spokesperson, Nomalanga Msebele. She said the case wasn't in her area. The robbery happened in a place that the Figtree Police Station covers. The publication then called the Matabeleland South police spokesperson. Her name is Loveness Mangena. She said they didn't have any record of the case. But she promised to keep checking. Here's what people say happened. They say Nkomazana took out US$49,475 from a bank in the city center. It was on December 9th of last year. The money belonged to a club. The members were going to split it up. After she got the money, Nkomazana left the bank and drove home. When she got near Mbokodo Abattoirs, two Honda Fit cars came up on either side of her. They blocked her in so she couldn't drive away. A source said the robbers acted fast. They pulled Nkomazana out of her car, took the US$49,475, and drove off. It took Nkomazana a little time to recover from the shock. But she did go to the police. She reported the robbery at the Nkulumane Police Station.
