[QUOTE="Nehanda, post: 28187, member: 2262"] The leaders of the KH3 7 Hills Run have picked Hajjat Sharifah Buzeki as their Chief Runner for next year's event. Ms. Buzeki runs the Kampala Capital City Authority as Executive Director. Everyone can join her at the race happening on Sunday, March 16, 2025. She hopes many people will sign up to support this important cause. Her participation shows how businesses and government can team up for important social causes. She received her running gear on Wednesday and talked about what this meant to her. She believes running as Chief Runner goes beyond just a personal goal - she wants to help every girl access education. She feels happy to lead this project with many supporters. The KH3-7 Hills Run aims to build a better tomorrow for Africa. Money raised through the event will directly help programs that remove obstacles keeping girls from going to school. Organizers just released the official map showing where runners will travel during the event. Runners will start at Millenium Ground Lugogo, previously called KCCA Grounds. For the CEO Fun Run, participants can choose between three distances: 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km. Maps include marked places for water breaks along each path. The shortest route covers Naguru Road to Estate Road, then Katalima Road and Crescent. Runners continue through Lower Naguru Estate Road, Vale Road, Drive, Nyonyintono Road, and Katale Road to Naggulu Avenue before heading back home. The longest 22-km race travels across many streets, including Naguru Road, Roscoe Road, and Impala Avenue, to Upper Kololo Terrace. Runners pass through Elgon Terrace and Acacia Avenue before crossing to Kafu Road. The path goes up Akii Bua Road across Nakasero Hill Road to Kyagwe Road, then Rashid Khamis Road, Ginnery Road, Old Kampala Road, and Namirembe Road. Athletes continue along Willis Road to Centenary Road down Cathedral Hill Road, Albert Cook Road, and Mutesa 1 Road. The course takes them through St. Lawrence University Lane, Lubiri Ring Road, Mengo Hill Road, and Nsambya Road via Nsambya Estate Road onto Tank Hill Road. From there, they connect through Kikuba Mutwe to Kibuli Road for the next segment. The final stretch includes Press House Road, Mukwano Road, and Access Road to reach Jinja Road. Runners then move onto Wampewo Avenue before returning to Roscoe Road, Lugogo Bypass, and Rotary Avenue. After completing the full course, everyone finishes at Millennium Grounds via Naguru Road. The 10 km route offers a different experience for those seeking a medium-distance challenge. This middle-distance path follows Naguru Estate Road, Katalima Road, Ntinda II Road, and Ntinda Road. It connects to Semawata Road, then Bukoto-Ntinda Road, Kimera Road, and back to Ntinda II Road. Runners connect to Mvule Lane as they progress through the course. The path continues through Upper Naguru Road, Ntinda View Cres, and Lower Naguru Road. The final parts include Naguru E. Road, Vaguru Vale Road, Naguru DR Road, and Katale Road. From there, everyone connects to Naggulu Avenue and Shoprite Road before returning to start. Organizers placed water stations strategically throughout each route. The 10 km route has water at the starting point, Katalima Road near Kembabazi, Mvule Lane, and Naguru DR. People can still register for the 2025 Absa KH3 – 7 Hills Run today. Individual packages cost UGX 35,000 for standard entry or UGX 40,000 for timed entry. Companies can enter teams for between UGX 2 million and UGX 5 million, depending on the number of runners they bring. Anyone interested can pick up race kits at select Absa branches across the area.
