Kenya's Cabinet Makes Wave of New Board Appointments. Kenya's Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has removed Bob Ndubi from the Kisii University Council, according to a January 31, 2025 Gazette Notice. The removal takes effect immediately under powers granted by the Universities Act of 2012. In the cooperative sector, Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya named Martha Wanjiru Miano to the Micro and Small Enterprise Authority's board of directors. The three-year appointment replaces Adan Sheikh Abdullahi. Health Cabinet Secretary Deborah Mulongo appointed Leonard Sang to the board of Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral, and Research Hospital for three years starting January 31. The Kenya Wildlife Service Board saw changes under Tourism Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano. She named Nancy Waturi Mathenge as a trustee for three years. This appointment follows the removal of Peter Fredrick Moll and Edward Norton. Water Cabinet Secretary Eric Mugaa selected Nicholas Wambua Muthangya for the Tanathi Water Works Development Agency board. The three-year term begins January 31. Defence Cabinet Secretary Roselinda Tuya made several appointments to the Kenya Defence Forces Pension Appeals Committee. The new members include Col. (Dr.) C. O. Ondego, Col. S. C. Yator, Col. (Rtd.) L. L. Muluvi, and Col. (Rtd.) M. M. Nchuurai. Elly Ongei joins as Committee Secretary. All appointments run for three years from January 31. These changes reflect ongoing adjustments in Kenya's state agencies under President William Ruto's administration.
