East Africa will host the African Nations Championship tournament next summer across Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. The competition runs from August 2 through August 30 and marks the first time since Rwanda 2016 that East African countries welcome the event.

Tanzania gets the honor of hosting the opening match at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on August 2. Kenya will stage the championship final at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi on August 30. Uganda receives the third and fourth place matches at Mandela Stadium in Kampala.

Four groups will play across different cities during the tournament. Group A teams Kenya, Morocco, Angola, DR Congo and Zambia compete in Nairobi. Group B features Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso and Central African Republic playing in Dar es Salaam.

Group C brings together Uganda, Niger, Guinea, South Africa and Algeria in Kampala. Group D sees Senegal, Congo, Sudan and Nigeria battle in Zanzibar. The island location of Zanzibar adds a unique venue after successfully hosting a CAF Confederation Cup final earlier this year.
