Harare's National Sports Stadium is getting fans back, but no approved game can go past 10,000 people. CAF signed off on ZIFA hosting matches again with conditions, after a supporter died and sparked a full safety review. Two games made the cut. First up is Zimbabwe taking on Malawi in a Women's Olympic Football Tournament qualifier. After that, Scottland FC is set to face Angola's Atlético Petróleos de Luanda in the CAF Champions League, though that one isn't locked in yet. ZIFA confirmed the news in a statement and sent condolences to the fan's loved ones. The association says keeping spectators, players, officials, and every match worker safe comes first. The rules are tight. Gates have to open five hours ahead of kickoff, and fans can only sit in specific sections that got the okay. Ticketing, how entry works, and where to park will get announced separately, according to ZIFA. The association also isn't playing around with troublemakers. Hooliganism, violence, intimidation, vandalism, and gate-crashing are all off-limits, and offenders could get turned away at the door, kicked out mid-game, or hit with a ban on future matches. Medics, emergency teams, security staffing, and crowd control all get extra safeguards on top of that. And a CAF Safety and Security Officer will be watching to make sure everyone sticks to the plan. Basically, the stadium only stays open if it hits every one of these requirements. Slip up, and CAF could tighten things further or pull the approval completely.
