Police arrested a cart pusher after he reportedly punched a minibus worker to death during a traffic dispute in Huruma, Nairobi. People who saw the fight said Kennedy Oduor, age 40, worked for Huruma Sacco and backed up his minibus at Sokoni when it bumped into a handcart loaded with water containers. The cart pusher became angry at the accident and confronted Oduor, then allegedly hit him hard enough to knock him down onto the paved road. Officers reported that Oduor suffered major head injuries from the fall. Someone rushed him to the MSF Clinic along Juja Road for medical help. Doctors declared him dead during treatment. Law enforcement later caught the suspect and held him for questioning before they planned to charge him with murder. According to police reports, fights between road users rank among the top reasons for deaths across the country. A separate case involved a 20-year-old man found dead after someone stabbed him during a fight in Mukuru slums, Nairobi. Police identified the victim as Ramadhan Shaban and stated he was stabbed when he argued with a person he knew. Investigators have not yet determined why the Sunday attack happened. Officers arrested the alleged attacker, who faces possible murder charges as the investigation continues. The body went to the morgue, awaiting an examination by medical experts. Knife attacks have increased throughout informal settlements recently. Police data shows around two stabbing incidents occur daily across the city. In an unrelated case, friends discovered a woman dead inside her home in Ruiru, Kiambu County. Leah Njambi failed to answer phone calls, which prompted people to visit her place in the Kihunguro neighborhood. They broke through a window and spotted her body lying motionless on the bed. When police arrived at the scene, they learned she lived by herself in a one-room house. She had not opened her shop as expected that day. Investigators found no visible wounds on her body. They moved her remains to Kenyatta University Funeral Home for a medical examination that would reveal her cause of death.
