Here's what's happening with the CCC party in Zimbabwe: The High Court plans to look at a big argument next Monday. It's about Welshman Ncube, who leads the CCC party right now, fighting against Sengezo Tshabangu. Tshabangu kicked some party members out of their Parliament jobs. Ncube went to court in Bulawayo last week. He wants to stop Tshabangu from firing Lynette Karenyi-Kore and Edwin Mushoriwa from their important jobs in Parliament. He thinks Tshabangu shouldn't make these changes. The court papers name three people who need to answer: Tshabangu, Parliament Speaker Jacob Mudenda, and Nonhlanhla Mlotshwa. Ncube says Tshabangu can't make these big changes without the party agreeing first. He points out that Mushoriwa got his job the right way - the party picked him in a proper meeting. Ncube also says Tshabangu made up a job that doesn't exist. He claims Tshabangu acts like he's the boss of everyone and scares party members by threatening to kick them out of Parliament. The CCC party has been having lots of trouble since Nelson Chamisa quit in January 2024. He left because Tshabangu kept removing Parliament members who supported him. After that, they picked Ncube to lead the party. But Tshabangu fought back through his lawyer. He says Ncube isn't allowed to speak for the CCC party. He thinks the court should throw out Ncube's case because the changes already happened. Tshabangu also doesn't believe Ncube is really the party's acting president. He says Ncube's time as a leader ran out, just like everyone else in charge. The court will need to decide who's right in this fight between party leaders.
