Nelson Chamisa plans fresh tactics to fight Zimbabwe's problems after dumping his old political party. The opposition leader quit Citizens Coalition for Change last year when rival Sengezo Tshabangu took control. Tshabangu kicked out several party lawmakers and forced new elections. This move gave President Emmerson Mnangagwa's ruling party a huge parliamentary majority. Chamisa claims Tshabangu works secretly for the government. The former opposition chief returned to politics recently and attacked plans to change the constitution. Some ruling party members want to extend Mnangagwa's presidency past 2028. Mnangagwa says he will step down when his term ends as scheduled. Chamisa told reporters he refuses to repeat the same mistakes over and over again. He wants to try completely different methods to challenge the government. Chamisa believes ordinary Zimbabweans already stand together despite what politicians think. He dismisses people who only care about getting powerful jobs and fancy titles. The opposition figure says citizens know exactly what they want for their country. He plans to build a new team and strategy to help Zimbabwe succeed. Chamisa reminded supporters that their votes counted even though they lost recent elections. The politician promised his followers that he stays busy planning and consulting behind the scenes. He left his party but never abandoned his mission to change Zimbabwe. Chamisa compared the old party to a broken vehicle that needed replacing. He wants to find a better way to reach his goals.
