Legion Studio showed a new trailer for Covenant at the Galaxies Showcase. This dark fantasy action game first appeared at The Game Awards last year. A small team of 12 developers with experience from major game franchises is creating this first-person adventure.
The game casts players as a warrior angel sent from Heaven to follow fallen angel Malach through a connected world. Players will solve puzzles, tackle platforming challenges, and discover shortcuts throughout their journey. Exploration rewards those who find hidden paths and uncover secrets across the mythical landscape.
Combat is at the heart of the experience. The team drew inspiration from fighting games, immersive sims, and action titles. Players can take different stances that completely change their fighting styles and movement. Magic abilities support various build options and strategic approaches during battles.
Covenant will feature both cooperative play and competitive modes, including 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 arenas. The project remains in the early development stages. Though Legion hopes to avoid an early access release, they might need this option if financial support becomes necessary. They are currently seeking a publishing partner for the game.
