Buddhist monasteries across Yangon Region received generous donations from the Myanmar-China Friendship Association during a two-day giving spree. The organization handed out traditional Waso robes, stacks of exercise books, and cold hard cash to religious schools and learning centers. Association members targeted monastic institutions throughout the region with their charitable campaign. Officials distributed supplies to help young monks continue their religious education. The donation drive reached multiple townships across greater Yangon. Suhtoopan Monastic School in Thanlyin Township scored big when donors arrived with ceremonial robes and sacred alms offerings. The school's education fund swelled by K1.14 million while 525 students each received a dozen fresh notebooks. Shwepyitha Pariyatti Buddhist Learning Centre grabbed 150 dozen notebooks plus additional supplies for their programs. Insein Ywama Pariyatti Buddhist Learning Centre welcomed 300 dozen notebooks to support 510 student monks. The association made sure each institution received exactly what they needed for academic success. Masoeyein Monastery in Tamway Township and Hlayadana Nyaungdon Pali University in Bahan Township both collected educational funds, writing pens, and 150 dozen notebooks each. The generous donors tallied their complete haul at 1,265 dozen notebooks, various stationery items, and more than K1.14 million in cash contributions. Association representatives completed their mission across both days of intensive giving. The Buddhist institutions expressed gratitude for the educational support. Young monks will benefit from these supplies throughout their religious studies.
