China has pumped 15 million dalasi worth of medical supplies into Gambian hospitals since July last year. The money came from two sources with 5 million from the medical team and 10 million through hospital partnerships. Two Gambian doctors traveled to China for six months of special training in women's health. Dr. Mustapha Bittaye from the main teaching hospital thanked the departing doctors for their hard work. He asked the new team to keep talking openly about any problems they face.
