Police caught a woman selling drugs at her house and she died after eating the evidence. Hezel Titya was 39 years old and lived around Chitungwiza where officers had been watching drug dealers. Another woman named Josephine Tinarwo got arrested first and told police about Titya. Officers set up a trap and called Titya to come make a drug delivery. She showed up but swallowed the drugs when police tried to arrest her. Doctors at Chitungwiza Hospital could not save Titya after she ate the illegal substances. Police spokesperson Paul Nyathi talked about what happened on Friday June 20th. Tinarwo was 55 years old and had lots of cough syrup bottles at her home Thursday night. Officers found her stash after someone gave them a tip about drug dealing activities. Police arrested five more people the same day at different locations around the country. Grace Tagara and four others were selling marijuana pills and beer without proper licenses. Officers found them at Mbare Cabins and Redwing Mine areas. The group had various illegal drugs when police searched their belongings. Zimbabwe Republic Police want citizens to keep reporting drug dealers to help stop the problem. People can call the complaints desk or send messages through WhatsApp to give information. Commissioner Nyathi thanked community members for helping police find these criminals. Officers continue fighting against drug trafficking across the nation with public assistance.
