Chivayo Sets Lobola Terms in Joyful Family Ceremony

The Muteke family happily greeted businessman Wicknell Chivayo today when he arrived for traditional marriage payment talks. He posted a video showing everyone at the Muteke home in Marondera. Both families sang together and celebrated Wicknell and Lulu's relationship.

Chivayo wrote on Facebook alongside the video that a billionaire sat down, a billionaire clapped hands, and love always wins, with God being the greatest. Following custom, his relatives greeted the Muteke family elders by clapping their hands. Many people sat directly on the floor or crouched down during this process. After these greetings, the older family members shook hands with Wicknell.

One man who looked like he might be Lulu's dad shook hands with Wicknell and praised him. He told the businessman he had done something good that many others could not manage. Earlier today, another video spread around showing Chivayo offering $125,000 as the bride price to the Muteke family leaders.

The generous businessman promised to give them five extra cattle beyond whatever number they requested. He even offered them a special purebred bull they could use to improve their existing herd. He simply asked they keep negotiations short without much waiting time. Chivayo explained he had plenty of money but wanted to move forward quickly because he had already decided to marry their daughter, Lulu.
