Coach Sheryl Botes picked 20 players for Uganda's women's soccer team. The South African coach chose mostly local players from Uganda's domestic leagues. Only Margaret Kunihira plays outside Uganda with Caessia Queens LFC in Tanzania. The Crested Cranes will defend their title at the 2025 CECAFA Women's Championship. The tournament happens from June 12-21 at Azam Complex in Chamazi, Tanzania.

Five countries will compete in the championship using a round-robin format. Tanzania hosts the event alongside Uganda, Burundi, South Sudan and Kenya. Players meet Sunday at FUFA Hotel in Kisaasi at 2 PM. The team trains Monday at MTN Omondi Stadium at 2 PM. They travel to Tanzania on Tuesday.

Uganda faces Burundi first on June 12 at 4 PM. The team plays South Sudan on June 14 at 7 PM. Kenya meets Uganda on June 17 at 7 PM. The final match against Tanzania happens June 19 at 7 PM. Three goalkeepers, seven defenders, seven midfielders and three forwards make up the squad.
