The Black Crowes and Jimmy Page created a short documentary about their Live At The Greek record. The film celebrates the 25th birthday of their famous collaboration album. Both Robinson brothers sit with the legendary guitarist to share stories about their time together. The movie reveals how their partnership started and what made it special. Fans can watch the ten-minute documentary on YouTube right away. Robert Plant helped bring the musicians together during the late 1990s. The Crowes had already performed concerts with the Led Zeppelin singer before this happened. Plant attended one of their Albert Hall shows and brought his former bandmate along to meet them. Rich Robinson says they connected immediately when they first met. Page already knew about the band and respected their musical background. The group began practicing a mix of different songs together. They played Led Zeppelin classics, Black Crowes hits, and traditional blues numbers. Page loved hearing Ten Years Gone with extra guitar parts and harmonies added. The guitarist said it felt like a dream come true to hear the song that way. Chris Robinson noted how Page changed their signature track She Talks To Angels forever. Producer Kevin Shirley explained that Page brought his signature country sound to their music. The guitarist pioneered the B bend technique that became famous across rock music. The band reached peak performance during their October 1999 Greek Theatre concerts. A special three-disc version of the album came out in March with bonus tracks. The expanded release features additional songs from their 1999 tour soundchecks.
