Dangote Oil Works sent its first loads of plane fuel to Saudi Arabia. The fuel went to Saudi Aramco, one of the world's biggest oil firms. This move strengthens Dangote's position in the world oil trade. Saudi Aramco runs most oil work in Saudi Arabia. The nation's leaders own much of the firm, which sells oil and gas around the world. Aliko Dangote shared the news when business heads came to see his oil works. "We meet our big aims," Dangote said. "We sold two loads of plane fuel to Saudi Aramco." The oil works has given plane fuel to air firms in Nigeria since it began. It also sends fuel to far places like Iceland and London. S&P Global, which watches oil trade, says Dangote makes plane fuel that works well in big air stops like London's Heathrow. From January to October 2024, much of its fuel went through Togo's seaport. Dangote supplies most plane fuel to Nigeria's air firms. It provides two-thirds of Nigeria's needs and half of what West Africa uses. This reduces the amount Nigeria must buy from other lands. The amount fell from 13,000 drops each day in 2023 to 5,000 drops in 2024. British oil firm BP bought its first load of plane fuel from Dangote. The ship Doric Breeze took about 45,000 large boxes of fuel. People who know say this was BP's first time buying from Dangote. This trade shows how Dangote grows strong in world oil sales. It helps Nigeria make more things at home and needs less from other lands.
