David Yow from The Jesus Lizard has been keeping busy with acting work. The band came back together last year and released Rack after being away for 26 years. Yow appears in the upcoming Toxic Avenger movie reboot. He shows up in the latest red band trailer for the film. The singer plays a character named Guthrie Stockins.

The movie features Kevin Bacon and Elijah Wood as main stars. Jacob Tremblay also acts in the film. Macon Blair directed the project. The story follows Winston Gooze who becomes a superhero after a toxic accident. The new hero fights bad companies and corrupt people who threaten his family and friends.

The movie was filmed back in 2021 and finished in 2023. Studios finally decided to release it this August. Yow has acted in several other movies recently. He appeared in A Desert last month and Cover Your Ears documentary. His other film work includes Dinner In America and Rattlesnake.

Earlier trailers for The Toxic Avenger came out before this one. Those previews did not show Yow in any scenes. The new red band version features him for the first time. Fans can see all the trailers online right away. The Toxic Avenger opens in theaters on August 29th.
